The Centre for the Study of Social and Global Justice (CSSGJ) is very pleased to announce our Autumn 2025 Seminar Series Schedule, featuring six different talks covering a plethora of topics related to social and global justice. The following talks being hosted are: Monday, 6 October 1) Social Reproduction Metabolism: The Labouring Body and Workers’ Struggles for Time and Space at Chokepoints in Brazil and Portugal Monday, 20 October 2) ‘The Political Economy of the Mercosur–European Union Association Agreement: Reshaping Dependency and Uneven Development in a Context of Global Crisis’ Monday, 3 November 3) ‘Defending the Right to Life against Systemic Environmental Onslaughts: The Ecological Struggle in Mount Ida’ Monday, 17 November 4) ‘Temporary Labour Migration: Towards Social Justice?’ Monday, 24 November 5) ‘All that has Never Been True: The Dismal Ruins of the Neoliberalism = Free Markets Assumption’ 1 December, 6pm 6) ‘Teaching to Read, Reading to Question: Critical Literacy in Education Degrees’ All CSSGJ Seminar Talks will take place at 6pm UK time and will be held via Zoom.
